This series of paintings is part of an oeuvre entitled “The Blowing of the Word”, which is comprised of about seventy painted works. More than just communication, the Word is Art in and of itself. Expressing, syllabising, monologuing one’s experiences, whispering spaces, undressing Time and the cause, is the art of corresponding, of wording the meaning of feelings. It is here , to this arch-space, which I travel to. Word for Word, Being by Being, Being in Being, Going Unseeingly, Smiling today, Falling asleep on the Morrow. Each painted work (in acrylic and other types of paint on wood or canvas, using alla prima and action painting techniques) relies on a form of expression which did not exist up until now. The twenty-seven pieces of artwork selected for this initial exhibition (“Night in Rotary”; “Yellow Chocolate”; “The Clown”; “Lilies”; “Red Chocolat”; “Dove”; “Revelation”, “Red River”; ”The Dreamer”; “The Mask”; “The Hand of God”; “The Ring”; “Still Life”; “The Myth”; “Blue Game of Impregnation”; “Hercules”; “Argument”, “Oceanic”, “One’s Blue”; “Two’s Blue”; “Three’s Blue”; “The Eyes of Buddha”; “The Poet’s Brother”; “The Poet”; “The Discovery”; “The Sovereign”; and “Fado”) reflect the thoughts inherent to this oeuvre. Affixing an image with a title, a word bound in a time and a space progressively confined within its own boundaries and latitudes (as framed from North to South, from East to West), humbles the Light of its release.
